Are you mechanically inclined?  Are you interested in a company who invests in training and development?   We want to hire a junior level maintenance tech, eager to learn and grow an industrial maintenance career.  The primary goal of this role is to support all departments at our Mishawaka location, providing excellent customer service to our team members.  The successful candidate is safety conscious, has a strong attention to detail and has basic maintenance training and/or experience.  We will train the right person.  Great job for new grad!

What’s in the job?

  • Responsible for cleaning, fabrication and maintenance of equipment, facilities and grounds.
  • Performs minor mechanical, structural and electrical repairs to equipment, building and grounds including maintaining floors, cleaning machines.
  • Fabricate and paint structural devices such as equipment platforms and auxiliary equipment.
  • Opportunity to identify and implement ideas for improvement in manufacturing and operations areas once approved. This may require prototyping objects to be implemented into manufacturing areas.
  • Deliver parts and materials to appropriate departments via forklift truck
  • Keep maintenance area clean and well-organized.
  • Minimal travel to local suppliers to pick up raw materials and supplies.

Requirements you bring…. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work with an attention to detail regarding physical plant operations and appearance.
  • Strong communication skills to communicate with internal customers.
  • Initiative and drive to work with minimal supervision.
  • Manufacturing environment experience a plus but not required.
  • Mig welding experience helpful but not required.
  • Basic electrical helpful but not required.
